Sherlock Holmes is a familiar name to everyone who reads this story.
In 1891 Sir Arthur Conan Doyle brought Sherlock Holmes to the world. It was a character that changed his life. Until then, he had gone through many stages of poverty and became the highest-earning storyteller of all time, through Sherlock Holmes. Audiences around the world were waiting for his Sherlock Holmes stories. But that happens a few days later.
Sherlock Holmes was assassinated in 1893 in "The Final Problem". It was an event that shocked readers around the world. That one question arose inside everyone.
May 22, 1859, Scotland. That is when Arthur Conan Doyle was born.
Doyle began working in southern England as a junior doctor. Being a junior doctor, the number of patients who came to see Doyle was very small. It was during this time that he began to write. Short stories were the beginning. Some were sent to newspapers and magazines. But it was never published anywhere. But this did not deter Doyle.
Over time, he began writing a novel. It's a detective novel. Doyle insisted that its detective not be a normal detective. So he began to observe a variety of people. Unexpectedly, that thought came to Doyle's mind.

It was through this novel that the character of Sherlock Holmes was born. The novel was in fact a revolution. It was a work of art that was very different from the detective novel we saw at the time. There are many reasons for this.
He created the character Sherlock Holmes as a living person. Despite the fact that the character is so intelligent, Doyle also gave up some bad habits. There was no such thing as a realistic character creation at the time. Therefore, there was a misconception among readers that the character Sherlock Holmes was a living person. During this time Doyle and his Sherlock Holmes continued to grow. Sherlock Holmes stories began to gain worldwide popularity. Conan Doyle became one of the highest grossing fiction writers of the time. The Sherlock Holmes stories became a charm to all readers. It was the growth of his career. But at the same time he has done that.

Why did Conan Doyle kill Sherlock Holmes?
Doyle's life began to change with the arrival of Sherlock Holmes. He had a lot of financial gains. But as a writer, Sherlock Holmes was a headache for him. Because the writer Conan Doyle did not intend to be confined to the character of Sherlock Holmes. He wanted to write many different novels.
He was more interested in writing novels set against the backdrop of ancient wars. Moreover, with the advent of Sherlock Holmes, none of his best works received the recognition they deserved. The only thing everyone expected from him was the Sherlock Holmes stories. What he lost then was the freedom of an artist. But getting rid of Sherlock Holmes was not as easy as Doyle thought. Since the publication of the last story, there have been numerous disagreements around the world. Doyle received numerous emails from readers every day. Some of them were requests to bring Holmes back, but others were threatening.
The people of London came out wearing black bands. And after Sherlock Holmes' death, 20,000 people canceled their subscriptions.
Doyle was shocked by the reaction of the people. However, there was no change in his decision.
So people forgot about Sherlock Holmes like everything else in general. Doyle also began to engage in his other works. About 8 years have passed. That's when Doyle started writing another crime thriller story. And so the story ends. He saw it as the best story ever. But the story needs a detective. Doyle was not interested in creating a new character. That's when Doyle came up with the idea.
Why not use Sherlock Holmes?
So 8 years later the Sherlock Holmes is back. That one story turned out to be one of his best works.
Because the character of that story. He did not reincarnate Sherlock Holmes. Rather it is in the form of a case that preceded Holmes' death. The popularity of that one story was huge.
As a result, Doyle came under pressure to write Sherlock Holmes stories. Even publishers began to appeal to Holmes to revive him. So one of the publishers told him the idea.
"Holmes fell to his death in a waterfall. But nowhere in that story is it mentioned that his body was found".
Why not escape from Sherlock Holmes Falls?
So in 1993 he wrote the story of Sherlock Holmes' return. Holmes later became active in films and series, not just books.
